“Using Nucs in your Beekeeping Operation”

Dr. Jamie Ellis (via Zoom)

Dr. Jamie Ellis, is the Gahan Endowed Professor of Entomology in the Department of Entomology and Nematology at the University of Florida where he has responsibilities in extension, instruction and research related to honey bees. He has written widely on many topics as a result of his research, and you may have read one of his articles in American Bee Journal.

He will present via Zoom,  “Using Nucs in your Beekeeping Operation.” “Nucs” are small honey bee colonies housed in small hives. Consequently, their importance in beekeeping is often overlooked. Dr Ellis will describe how nucs can become an indispensable tool in one’s beekeeping operation.
