“Lotions, Butters, Salves and Lip Treatments”

Rachel Newby

What to do with all your extra beeswax?

One way to get more out of your beekeeping investment is creating body products, full of protecting beeswax, for yourself and your family. Rachel will talk you through the basics, including rendering beeswax, basic equipment and ingredients, and the benefits some ingredients have for your skin.

Rachel Newby is a third-generation beekeeper (her grandmother was a member of MCBA) and has been keeping bees for eight years. She is the owner of New-Bee Ranch, LLC, a small farmette in western Montgomery County that provides small-batch seasonal foods in addition to honey and beeswax products.
