As beekeepers bee stings are accepted to be part of our connection to these magnificent insects, but we should also be aware of possible affects of the stings on our health and safety. Dr. David Golden, MD, is a world expert on anaphylaxis, insect allergy, and venom immunotherapy and on October 22 nd, we will have the benefit of hearing him present via zoom “What every beekeeper needs to know about Bee Sting Allergies, Epi-Pen Guidelines, Good Samaritan Laws, & Protecting Yourself and Others.”
Dr.Golden graduated from McGill University School of Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine and then pursued a fellowship training program in Allergy-Clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Golden has directed a program of research studies on anaphylaxis, insect allergy, and venom immunotherapy and is currently associate professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He has participated in numerous research studies and has published dozens of original research manuscripts as well as numerous review articles and book chapters. Dr. Golden has made a major commitment to education in his activities with the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, and is the chief of the Allergy Division of Internal Medicine at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, where he has implemented an allergy-immunology curriculum for medical residents.
