Robert Brooks and Rich Steinbeiser present:

Mead making for beginners

In person class at the 4H club

Together, we will discuss the theory, how to make a basic mead and do a hands on mead making with the instructors (only one demonstration).

This includes everything from sanitizing our items, to assembling the primary fermentation, and precautions along the way.

We will assemble a basic mead, and provide instructions on how to add your desired flavors in secondary fermentation, and show a bottling process once finished.

If you want to bring your own supplies to make a gallon along side us bring:

  • 3 lbs of your own honey.

  • a jar for mead (1 gallon) or purchase on Amazon with bubbler

  • 1- gallon of water if you want to use your own, otherwise we'll use the sink at 4H center

Reach out with any questions.
